Bow is a restaurant serving various Mediterranean specialties, mostly from France, Spain and Arab countries (Bouillabaisse, Paella, Mezze). It is rather big and built on 2 floors, with a large alfresco area which is very enjoyable in the evenings.
The owner is a French man living in Bali. You can often see him in the restaurant. He takes a particular care of the decoration which is the thing that first attracted me to try Bow. As you can see, it is quite unique, with a Caribbean influence. I imagine he is also in charge of the music, which is a world mix of Spanish, French and African songs.
The prices for an appetizer go from rp35k to rp45k and for a main dish from rp75k to rp95k (to which you must add 16% tax & service). I took the Mediterranean Lamb Wrap at 75k++. It was really home-cooking style, with a fine taste but nothing too fancy as well.
Overall: I think Bow is recommended for a dinner in Seminyak if you are looking for a place more quiet than in the busy areas of Jalan Petitenget or Jalan Oberoi. As I said previously, the upstairs terrace is really nice during the evenings. It is not a fine dining place but I think it would be fit for a date.
One thing was a bit strange: The owner's dog was roaming free between the tables...
They also have regular live music events on Tuesday. I invite you to check the schedule on their facebook page Bow Bali for the latest updates.
