Shelter is a cozy little café / restaurant / bar located on Jalan Drupadi, behind Queen's Tandoor Indian Restaurant in Seminyak. I was not expecting a lot when I visited as the prices are rather low, but I was truly impressed by the quality of the food served. I had 4 tapas plates for just above 100,000rp and all of them were delicious and prepared in an original way. I am not saying it is fine dining, but compared to other restaurants in Bali that are twice as expensive, Shelter's food is a much greater alternative.
Just Cooked Yellowfin Tuna (25,000rp) |
Trio of Dips (Beetroot, Hummus, Guacamole) - Rp35,000 |
Feta and Tomato Bruschetta (Rp25,000) |
Chicken Pincho (Rp25,000) |
Shelter is also very comfortable, all in the open-air. It is clean, laid-back, with friendly staff and a young crowd.
Overall: Highly recommended for a drink or for food. Check out their facebook as well as they organize parties once in a while.
